Poetry In Science

Sir Ken Robinson, the visionary British educator, and author, in one his iconic TED Talks had once stated that an original idea often comes through the interaction of different disciplinary ways of seeing things.

The workshop was centered around this concept!

Poetry and Science are two realms that seem miles apart. However, they are more similar than we can imagine. This workshop initiated an interaction of different disciplines in the young minds. They learned to connect the two domains and develop dialogues between art and science.

The objective is to develop their writing skills through a process of reflecting, and connecting the various dots that lay scattered as they assimilate a new concept. Each one crafted 4 science poems in these 3 days.

These 3 days of intensive yet fun workshop was very enriching. Manyu and Maneet racked their brains with their friends, explored fossils to Dino, space to seasons and churned out wonderful poetry. Thank you for providing them with such a wonderful experience.

I completely concur with the other parents whose kids have attended this “Poetry in Science’ workshop’. Not only were the kids super excited to explore and discuss fossil, dinosaur and space, the romanticism that came out in their imagination was exemplary. All the kids gave amazing personified poetic imageries. Kudos to Soumi for bringing out these hidden talents.

Thank you, Soumi for this wonderful workshop. Apoorv learnt so many beautiful poetic devices, which will go a long way in his language learning process. I too got to learn many new terminologies in poetry writing.
